Welcome to the
FAMILY REUNION 2027
Black family reunions, a historical legacy
Deeply rooted in the summer cultural tradition of cookouts and gatherings of generations of loved ones is the history of enslaved families reuniting after gaining their freedom.
Johnson-Wilson Reunion
Our family legacy began on a small farm located on Route 1, Idabel, Oklahoma. Two young farmers married and raised a large, close-knit family while cultivating their land. Over the years, their farm grew, creating the biannual gathering space for all of their children, grandchildren, and ever-growing descendants.
